Multitouch Percussion Controller

The Multitouch Percussion Controller used for the concert was built with a standard 24 inch LCD screen, an acrylic panel fixed on top, acoustic sensors to get the intensity of impacts, and the kit version of the Airplane controller developed by our group. In this settup, it is integrated with a traditional percussion set, allowing for extended control and triggering possibilities, as well as merging the acoustic and electronic dimensions. Custom control interfaces are designed using the Surface Editor.

The music of the concert was composed by Marc Garcia, a student of the composition class of the Music Conservatory of Geneva.
